I started my career in the advertising industry with Young & Rubicam (the 3rd largest agency in the world) both in Detroit, MI and in New York on Madison Avenue. I then went to a mid-size advertising agency in suburban Detroit where I eventually became a partner. I sold my interest in the agency and moved to Tucson.
I’ve been in the insurance industry since 2000. I began specializing exclusively in health insurance in 2013 when the Affordable Care Act – a.k.a. “ObamaCare” was introduced. I chose to be involved by helping people find better solutions, and less expensive options than government mandated, expensive health insurance.
My Background
I currently live in Tucson, AZ with my wife and 4-legged “baby”. My wife was a Medical Social Worker, or Case Manager for Tucson General Hospital and then with Tucson Medical Center (for 20 years). Before we moved to Tucson she did the same type of work, specializing in Oncology in Michigan. My kids and grand-kids live in Minneapolis, MN and Bloomfield Hills, MI.
Outside of my experience in the insurance industry I actively volunteer in my community. Some of my involvement includes:
- Michigan Humane Society – Board Member and President of the Board
- Humane Society of The United States – Board Member and Chair of Compensation Committee
- Detroit Institute of Arts – Board for Founders Junior Council and President of the Board
- Humane Society of Southern Arizona – Board Member
